What We Do

Our Focus

WHY DONATE FOR COUNSELING SERVICES?

When we look at the condition of the world today, it’s becoming more difficult to navigate. Have you ever wanted to make a difference but didn’t know how? The services funded by the Capstone Community Services Foundation are one way to impact people’s lives.

Consider the condition of the family today. The impact of divorce, growing up in stepfamilies, and stressful work environments profoundly impact people. Addiction, substance abuse, and process addictions are devastating families.  Employers deal with lost productivity, employee absenteeism, and other issues that negatively impact the work environment. The impact of pornography and other forms of problematic sexual behavior impact both employers and the family. Different addictions and betrayal trauma are among the main sources of pain for people today. Add the impact of increased learning disabilities for children, behavioral disorders, and problems in the education system and it becomes overwhelming.

Capstone works with clinical therapists and provides scholarships for people who can’t afford the full fee for professional counseling. We work with counselors, clinical social workers, marriage and family therapists, addiction specialists, play therapists, and licensed pastoral counselors to provide services to people in need. Our goal is to impact the communities in which we work in a powerful way.

The Capstone 100 Association has a goal of having 100 people contributing every month to the foundation. We are a 501 c 3 non-profit corporation. All donations are tax deductible.

Our Process

Our executive director is a licensed professional counselor with over 25 years of experience in the mental health profession.  All applicants are screened and assigned to licensed mental health professionals who can provide appropriate treatment.  Capstone does not discriminate  based on race, color, religion, sex (including pregnancy, sexual orientation, or gender identity), national origin, disability, age, or genetic information (including family medical history).

Research has proven for several decades that clients must contribute financially to their treatment in order for it to be successful.  We do not provide funding for missed appointments.  These will be the responsibility of the client.  Scholarship awards are based on need and are contingent on the availability of funds.
